New 3D Printing Global Reseller Programme Launched By HP

In March, we posted an article which featured the launch of HP’s brand new 3D printing materials lab in Oregon. Following this, HP is continuing to support advancements in the 3D printing industry with a new global reseller programme announced earlier this month.

Global Reseller Programme

The global reseller programme is initially being rolled out to both North America and Europe, with other countries and continents also being considered. As part of their impact on the 3D printing industry, HP has added 30 certified partners into the programme so far. These include a number of manufacturing service bureaus and design firms who are currently experimenting with the capabilities of 3D printing and additive manufacturing.  As part of these new partnerships, HP has also enlisted the research services of the chemical and consumer goods group Henkel.

3D Printing Centres

Due to the success of their Oregon based 3D printing lab, HP is planning to open additional materials labs across North America and Europe. These new facilities will launch in the UK, Spain, France, Germany and the Netherlands. Additionally, several US states will be included in the rollout including California, Michigan, Kentucky and Georgia. HP is hoping that these new 3D printing centres allow companies to fully engage with ‘Multi Jet Fusion 3D Printing’ solutions on a mass production scale.

Multi Jet Fusion Technology

Praised as a breakthrough in the 3D printing industry since its introduction last year, HP’s ‘Multi Jet Fusion 3D Printing Technology’ has removed many obstacles that additive manufacturing previously had across different industries. The technology is able to produce functional printed parts almost ten times quicker than many other printing solutions at a much lower cost.

3D Printing Advancement

Upon the announcement of the new global reseller programme, HP Inc President of 3D Printing Stephen Nigro commented: “We are expanding our solutions availability through new resellers and service bureau partners, opening new experimental facilities for customers and partners, widening our open 3D printing materials ecosystem.”
